First-pass model at 40 °F. Each opening vents the CO₂ in the headspace. The pour is assumed to be rapid enough that negligible CO₂ escapes from the liquid that remains in the bottle while the cap is off. The poured liquid carries away its own dissolved CO₂. After recapping, the remaining CO₂ repartitions between liquid and headspace according to a fixed Henry-law concentration ratio of 1.47:1 (liquid:gas). Default bottle geometry: 26 oz liquid plus 1 oz initial headspace. This is an educational baseline and will be calibrated for Champagne in a later revision.
